Specialty Vietnamese Liberica Coffee Beans – Light Roast, Natural Process | Yellowcouch Coffee
Meet the rarest bean in our lineup.
Liberica is one of the world's least-known coffee species — accounting for less than 2% of global production — and for good reason: it's notoriously difficult to grow, harvest, and roast well. When it's done right, though, there's nothing quite like it.
Ours comes from Hướng Phùng, a small farming community nestled in the hills of Quảng Trị province in central Vietnam, grown at 680 metres elevation. Naturally processed and light roasted to preserve every nuance the bean has to offer, the result is a cup that surprises even seasoned coffee drinkers: floral and fruity up front, with a deep, lingering sweetness of molasses that rounds out the finish. No bitterness. No heaviness. Just something genuinely different.
If you've only ever drunk Arabica or Robusta, this is your invitation to try the third option — and one of the rarest specialty coffees you'll find in Canada.
